Dr. Kristen Schotthoefer practices in the Redwood Dental office in Shelby Township, MI. She began her education at Lakeview High School and then continued to Wayne State University, where she earned a B.S. in Biological Sciences. She then proceeded on to the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, where she became a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS). Dr. Schotthoefer has always loved science classes above all and loved working with people. She loves that dentistry focuses on preventing oral disease along with treating it and that it is health focused, rather than disease focused.
Dr. Schotthoefer has danced since she was 3 years old, was a choreographer in Undergraduate School, and enjoys yoga. Now that she has a child, her days are filled with lots of time with family and friends and playing with her son. She and her husband have been married for 4 years and along with their adorable 1 year old son, are proud parents to two Labrador retrievers.
In her free time, Dr. Schotthoefer donates dental work for patients out of Samaritan House and has also volunteered time to cook for Ronald McDonald House families with her Dental Fraternity. Dr. Schotthoefer is a proud member of the following organizations: the American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, Delta Sigma Delta Fraternity and the Spear Study Club.
